Create a Fake Ad, Win Our Upcoming Game

You want to be immortalized in a Dejobaan game!

The semi-sequel to our 2009 hit, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! is coming. The cleverest captioned photos will appear in the game and will net their creators a free copy on Steam, once it’s out at the end of the year! (Yes, we haven’t officially announced the new game. Don’t tell anyone.)

Rules:

  1. Go to Morguefile.com, and search for an awesome image. Use that as your background.
  2. Come up with hilarious foreground text to put on top of that image.
  3. Send the composited image (background plus text in the same picture, 512×1024 preferred) and a link to the original Morguefile.com picture to jpolson@dejobaan.com.

 

And also:

  • Deadline:(Updated!) Friday 9/30/11 at 11:59pm EST.
  • We’ll announce the winners by the following Monday.

Inspired? Clever with words? Know someone who is, who wouldn’t mind giving you their prize? Go forth and create clever captions for some otherwise nekkid images (please, no actual nekkid images).

Fine print: By submitting an image, you give Dejobaan the right to use it in any way, shape, or form. Forever.

    Why did that post while I was editing it and again later? I need to have a serious discussion with my internet connection about how rude it is to interrupt my train of thought… and publish the disjointed bits without permission

    Glad to see up to 1 BILLION entries are accepted. Tried my hand at it with a 24 hour turn around– the dimensions made it a bit tricky. Also I took it that it was one photo and one phrase per entry, no taking a bit from this photo and applying it to another. If that had been allowed there would have been hastily PhotoShopped sharks layered into all of my entries. All of them.

    @blah: While I’m in no way the creator of the contest I’m almost certain any place where you can get stock photos is fine as long as the license allows them to be used in any way. Another such site is http://www.sxc.hu/

    @Yasir. We prefer to see it edited, yes. If you think you have a great slogan with a photo, but can’t design the slogan well, submit separately.
